When? Where? But most importantly, Why?
Not to sound egotistical, but ever since I took this profile of myself, it has always intrigued me for several reasons. When ever I photograph a person, place, or an object, most of the time there's a reasoning behind it. Whether its because I like a scenery, a bunch of strong colors, or it captures someone in their most honest form. With this picture, I don't why I took it. But when I think about the other people that see it, they know less than I do. There's no color, but I know what color shirt I was wearing. I know where I was, but the scene is completely blacked out leaving me staring at a lamp. I know I was alone taking the picture, but how does everyone else know whether or not I was alone, or if the room was full of people. The pictures itself mirrors a shot from my favorite film E.T.
